Sit in silence while taking three deep breaths. Use the words below for a breath prayer or breath meditation on each of the inhales:
Inhale: Enter silence.
Exhale.

Exhale.
Inhale: Honor my being.
Exhale.
Repeat the full cycle if you like.
Prompt.
Every “before” is both an ending and a beginning where preparation meets possibility. Here, in this moment, we commit our full selves to the page, ready to receive whatever gifts await in the sacred act of writing.”
-Spiritual Direction for Writers: Everyday Rituals for Your Writing Life
Practice.
Set a timer for 10-15 minutes and take notes, journal, freewrite, or revise a work-in-progress.
