The Spiritual Direction for Writers Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides Are Ready!

I’m thrilled to announce the Spiritual Direction for Writers Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides are ready in the SDW Members Library. All SDW Members now have access to the Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides which include the following:

  • Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides: Start Here

  • Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides: 40-Minute Re-Centering Micro Retreat Guide

  • Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides: Four-Hour and Day Solo Writing Retreat Guides

  • Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides: Writing Prompts

  • Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides: Reading Selections

  • Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides: Contemplative Practices

  • Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides: Notes Prompts

  • Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides: Movement Prompts

  1. The only way you can get access to any of the SDW Solo Writing Retreat Guides is to become a SDW Member. You can join for a month ($30), have a Lent Solo Writing Retreat or two or three, then cancel your membership. If you want. Or you can keep your membership because new SDW Solo Writing Retreat Guides are released every month.

  2. The SDW Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides use the same format as the Advent/Christmastide Solo Writing Retreat Guides and the At-Home Solo Writing Retreat Guides. There are dozens of options for various retreats, so you can use the Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides this year and in subsequent years. (You can learn more about the SDW At-Home Solo Writing Retreat Guides here.)

I will continue to add additional Writing Prompts, Reading Selections, Contemplative Practices, Notes Prompts, and Movement Prompts, so there will continue to be new options in the coming years.

  3. The format is quite versatile and customizable. (Who is loving the SDW Solo Writing Retreat Guides? I’d love to hear how it’s going from a few members. You can email me at charlotte@charlottedonlon.com and I’ll send you a token of thanks!)

  4. There’s a 40-Minute Re-Centering Micro Retreat option for Lent that you can plan and begin within a few minutes of becoming a SDW Member.

  5. The video below shows the Advent/Christmastide Solo Writing Retreat Guides which are very similar to the Lent Solo Writing Retreat Guides. I’ll try to make a new video soon!

A few things to note about this Zoom video preview:

  1. I did not finish my cup of coffee before recording this, so I’m moving a tad slow and might still be waking up in the video.

  2. I say I’m only going to show you the Advent Solo Writing Retreat Guide options but I also give you a glimpse of the Christmastide Solo Writing Retreat Guide.

  3. At the end I say I hope to write with you or meet with you soon. I usually end my SDW Co-Writing Sessions by saying I hope to write with you again soon, so I guess that’s where that came from. And I added “meet with you soon” because I realized I said the wrong thing at the wrong time and decided to just go ahead and make it more awkward. If you participate in the Co-Writing Sessions or if you’re a current client or a new client starting in January or February, I guess it applies!

Anyway. I hope this video gives you a good idea of what’s included in the Solo Writing Retreat Guides. I love this Solo Writing Retreat format and hope you do too!

Please feel free to email me at charlotte@charlottedonlon.com if you have any questions about the SDW Membership or Solo Writing Retreat Guides. Thanks so much!

Also! Stay tuned. More Solo Writing Retreat Guides are coming soon!
