Daily Nourishment for January 7: “May you open your eyes to water”

Daily Nourishment Read Time: 50 seconds
Pause/Prompt/Practice Time: 10-15 minutes

When life feels stale, can something as common as water open the imagination and soul?

Pause.

Prompt.

Journal about what you know about water.

Or begin writing a new story or a poem about magical waters. What happens when someone touches or drinks the magical water? How does it heal? How does it harm? Write for four minutes. Take notes with bullet points or or write full sentences. Either works.

Practice.

1. Do three slow silent readings of this poem or this Scripture passage.

2. Choose a few lines to write down by hand.

3. Read those same lines aloud twice.

4. Put both hands under running water for two minutes.

5. Take notes or journal about water, the Pause, the Prompt, and this Practice for four minutes.
