Hi, everyone, As we begin a new month and move deeper into autumn, I hope you continue to honor your creative soul and take some time to do your writing and make your art. Tanya Davis is providing two free sessions of Writing as Prayer: A Lament Writing Practice for Black Mothers on October 6. Please share this offering with anyone who might like at attend. Tanya has also added a Writing as Prayer session to the calendar for the morning of October 8 that’s open to all. I’m so thankful for Tanya’s presence, writing, and work. So many people in the SDW community have received many good things from her narrative writing offerings. ALSO I did some basic math and realized that Spiritual Direction for Writers: Everyday Rituals for Your Writing Life has a 380% increase in honoring how a real day or week unfolds compared to The Artist’s Way. If I were able to do more complicated math and consider the word count for each of the books, the percent increase would be even higher but my brain doesn’t do that kind of math any more.
