I guess these emails are just going to go out later than usual while Iโm finishing this draft of the book and trying to catch up on everything Iโm late on because Iโm finishing this draft of the book. Today Iโm driving my son back to Asheville for the rest of his final semester of his senior year. Iโm going to stay all week to write and work and hang out with Brady some. Iโll go to Blue Spiral too. Itโs one of my happy places. I have a dozen things I want to tell you but I donโt have time for that so hereโs one thing: I received an advance copy of this book by Karen Stiller and I really like what Iโve read so far. I donโt read many books about Christian spirituality these days, and books about holiness are definitely not on my radar, but she thanked me in the acknowledgments and she sent me the book so I was curious and eager to dive in. I read the first chapter, and Karenโs writing is beautiful. And she definitely wrote about this topic in ways only she can write about this topic. (See more on that here.) Her care with this topic feels winsome and safe to me so far. I look forward to reading more soon.
