Hello, everyone, I featured Jose Hernandez Diaz again in todayโs Daily Nourishment because Iโm hosting our Thoughtful Readers Gathering tomorrow. I love the poem โOde to the Overlooked Minimalist Painting in the Galleryโ so so much. * I had a slow start to the day. I stayed in bed reading and thinking until 11. Then I met a friend for lunch. Then I came to my co-working space to focus on work and writing. I placed an online order for a printed copy of Version 1.3 of the SDW Book manuscript at a local Fed Ex store which I will pick up in an hour or so. I have sorted through the feedback notes from Lauren Winner that I will begin incorporating in what I am dubbing SDW Book Version 2.0. I was going to revise using Laurenโs feedback after I received feedback from Lisa, but Lisa said to jump in and go for it now and send her a new copy by 4/15. So Iโm going to jump in and go for it now and send her version 2.0 by 4/15. I honestly had no idea if the book was even working because I was so entrenched in it for so long. I had lost all objectivity. Lauren was super complimentary on most of it. I need to re-work maybe eight or so chapters and delete one or two. Iโm going to make the full plan for finishing version 2.0 by 4/15 tonight with the printed MS in my hands. I look forward to having some revision sessions on the planes and in the Atlanta airport during my layover on Tuesday while traveling to Grand Rapids for the Festival of Faith and Writing. Iโm going a couple of days early to check out the city a bit and have at least two Solo Writing Retreats. * If youโve ever done co-writing with me, you wonโt believe what Iโm about to say. One thing I did this afternoon was take notes on all of my open browser tabs and CLOSE OUT THOSE TABS. Itโs all clear and empty and waiting for me to refill beginning tonight probably. :) Iโm going to enjoy this blank space while it lasts. * Also. Iโll share more in a @spiritualdirectionforwriters Instagram post later this afternoon or tonight, but today is the 12-year anniversary of my therapist at the time telling me I was a writer and if I wanted to heal from my post-manic episode depression and be healthier overall that I needed to act like a writer and write for at least 15 minutes every day. She was right. Mostly. (I donโt need to write for at least 15 minutes every day. I need to write for at least 15 minutes most days.) I will always be grateful for how she saw me and knew me and pushed me to become more of my full self. Until next time, Charlotte
