A Note from Katie: Typically, around this time of year, I’m gearing up for Advent with a self-publish study of my own. Something held me back this year, even though I hand-wrote the study in August. Then, earlier this Fall, the war between Israel and Gaza broke out. Immediately, I felt drawn back to the book that inspired my 2021 Advent study–The First Advent in Palestine by Kelley Nikoheda. If you want to read this Advent, consider it to orient yourself to Palestine’s history, which is woven into the Advent story in more ways than you might think.
