It’s time to pair Chapter Five of The Great Belonging with a song by Taylor Swift.

I chose "Epiphany" to represent this chapter from The Great Belonging, "The Weight Pressing Down on Us" because of the lyrics that express a desire to have relief, to have a bit of understanding about particular sort of suffering.

Here’s how Chapter Five begins:

My first therapist told me some of us feel loneliness more deeply than others and I am probably one of those people. When he spoke those words I knew I was made for therapy. I had been waiting my whole life to have someone explain myself to me. It was as if something lifted, like a helium-filled balloon escaping the fist of a young child.
